Before we all embark on another weekend, here's a quick post and some photos to share...
Spring has finally embraced Sydney in fine fashion last weekend with two perfect sunny 30°C days. Forget the beach, there was only one thing on our minds for a summery Saturday. Break out the Pimms, teapots and sandwiches because we're having ourselves an afternoon tea!
A big thanks to Madame E and Master P for opening up their home for the day and being the ever gracious hosts. Of course hosting your afternoon tea can be tedious work if you're making sandwiches and a myriad of mini desserts and savoury morsels all by yourself (believe me). This time Madame E got everybody involved and prompted each guest to make and bring one dish while the hostess took care of the essentials - tea, fruit scones, savoury morsels and of course cocktails! It's a fabulous way to involve any children as well as shown by Mistress 6 and Miss 12 (chocolate crackles! Oh the nostalgia!).

I, of course, leaned towards the sugar and being the boring, predictable lass that I am, sweet tarts were the way to go. I decided to make mini versions of that sinful Aria Chocolate Tart (oops no photo - *smacks head*) as well as my Lime Brulee Tarts topped with blueberries for that extra touch of Spring. To satisfy our thirts, we opted for a British favourite - a cocktail punch of Pimms (gin with fruit extracts), lemonade, mint and fruit. With stunning weather, good friends, luscious food and cocktails - can a Saturday get any more perfect than this?
Too bad the hot weather didn't come through for this weekend! But where ever you may be dear readers, make sure you have a good one!

Aww no photo of your Aria tart? I was dying to see that! Chocolate crackles...now that's a blast from the past. I was more a Honey Joys girl but of course would never say no to either.
